I have been looking for a replacement perfume for a while, and been disappointed with the results! I do like unusual fragrance and flatly refuse to go for the high street selection as they are so generic and artificial smelling.

"I was surprised by the whole process. I hadn’t anticipated that I would need to respond to so many different smells and fragrances all of which had their own purity whether I liked them or not. It was this purity that made the first impact and I needed to focus on “me” to just respond in a ‘yes ‘ or ‘no’ way to each smell as there was always a pull towards associations when each odour was presented. Choosing my preferences felt very actively nurturing as it was so focused on my own responses, so individualised and so pleasurable. It was also so very intriguing – how would he use all these different smells to make a perfume just for me!
When I received the samples I immediately knew which was right for me. The fragrance fitted me so perfectly – it felt like my ‘smell’ with its own depth and interplay of different elements. Interestingly I can always smell it on myself and in a wonderful way it fits for daytime and evening wear. It is unique and special for me. "

"Picking and choosing – it is always a problem. Should I buy a perfume for my wife of my own choosing or should I take her shopping and let her pick? Which is the best way to buy perfume as a present; - to make a gift of a fragrance? There is always a compromise that sometimes does not seem to work out. But here is a very different way of giving a gift of a fragrance. She had a personal consultation of her preferences – with me out of the way – and then without picking and choosing a fragrance is produced that is just her.

“Thank you. What a lovely present. Being given a sample pack of Essentially Me perfumes was like being given a little box of top quality chocolates – only so much better! Kept to myself, or shared with friends, they are certainly lasting much longer. And zero calories, no matter how many times a day I indulge!
I’d sort of given up searching for a scent that I liked on myself, that felt like me (and that didn’t give me an instant headache), but here I am actually able to choose two or three favourites from the range of ten - to suit different moods, times of day, or seasons of the year.
It’s been great to explore each fragrance – including those that I would not automatically be drawn towards. To be taken on a journey through top, middle, and base notes - and sometimes to be left with such a subtle tone that I’m not sure whether it’s the perfume or just me smelling really nice!
It’s also been interesting to note how the same perfume performs differently on different people. I’ve already sent a little gift card and sample to my mum – an easy and inexpensive little ‘hello’ - and I’ll enjoy sending friends their own boxes of scented treats in the future.”
